West Bengal Clears DA Arrears as LAX Launches Web4 Liquidity Engine
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced the clearance of long-pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears for state government employees and pensioners, effective March 2026. This move, which also includes honorarium hikes for religious leaders, addresses a significant fiscal obligation and follows persistent demands from the public sector for wage adjustments in line with inflation.
In the technology and blockchain sector, LAX has launched its Adaptive Market Liquidity Engine, a new infrastructure component designed to facilitate cross-border Web4 payments. The engine aims to optimize liquidity for decentralized applications (DApps) and enterprise financial transactions. Additionally, Playnance and KGeN have entered a strategic partnership to scale creator-led gaming to millions of users, highlighting continued growth in the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
On the financial front, semiconductor giant AMD is facing a more cautious outlook from analysts. Both Goldman Sachs and D.A. Davidson have forecasted a slower growth trajectory for the stock, citing evolving market conditions. Meanwhile, the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture (DA) is considering a 50-peso price cap on imported rice to stabilize domestic food costs amid global supply chain disruptions.
